The Oregon Natural History Coalition is a group of involved citizens who are committed to starting a Natural History Museum worthy of Portland’s green, independent spirit.

Our goal is to build a Museum that inspires awe and wonder at the rich stories Nature has to tell. From the smallest microorganisms to the vast evolutionary history of life on Earth, we will encourage new perspectives towards ecology and environmentalism. The Museum will explore the areas where science, art and society intersect. The Museum will be a community space that shares our deep love for the Pacific Northwest’s dramatic and varied landscapes. Exhibits will provide unique experiences, informing and motivating Portland’s active sustainability and conservation movements.
